V International Logistics Forum Held at KSTU

On September 26, 2025, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov hosted the 5th International Logistics Forum, bringing together leading industry experts, government officials, international partners, and students.

The event served as a platform to discuss strategic initiatives aimed at developing Kyrgyzstan into a regional logistics hub.

The forum was officially opened by the Rector of KSTU, Mr. Mirlan Chynybaev, who emphasized the importance of uniting the efforts of the government, academia, and business to establish a modern logistics center in the region.

Among the distinguished guests were:

  • First Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Choro Seitov
  • Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications for Digital Development, Mr. Bekzhan Rysmendeev
  • Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Migration, Mr. Kanat Sagynbaev
  • First Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Migration, Ms. Aliza Soltonbekova
  • Representatives of professional logistics associations and transportation companies

International participation was marked by the University of Miskolc (Hungary), which joined the forum online. This enabled the sharing of advanced global expertise and discussion of international best practices in logistics.

The plenary session, moderated by Professor Akylbek Umetaliev, Director of the International Higher School of Logistics at KSTU, focused on key development areas in the logistics sector:

  • Strategic steps to position Kyrgyzstan as a regional logistics hub
  • Integration of Central Asian transport corridors
  • Development of cross-border e-commerce
  • Implementation of innovative solutions in warehousing and transport logistics
  • Analysis and assessment of the logistics services market in the country

The forum program included presentations and reports combining theoretical research with practical case studies. This approach provided participants with deeper insights into the current challenges of the industry and possible solutions.

At the conclusion of the forum, the most active participants were awarded certificates of appreciation and official logistics forum badges, recognizing their contribution to the development of Kyrgyzstan's logistics sector.

The event served as a platform for strengthening cooperation between government bodies, international partners, industry experts, and students—creating opportunities for experience sharing, joint research, and the formulation of strategic recommendations for Kyrgyzstan’s development as a key logistics center in Central Asia.
