From October 15 to 17, 2025, 100 students of the International Graduate School of Logistics (IGSL) took part in a study tour in the city of Almaty and a logistics forum organized by the Michelin PLC format. The events were held with the support of the logistics consortium “Transsystem” under the leadership of Vasiliy Valentinovich Korolyov at the ALT University campus.
During the study tour, students visited modern logistics warehouses and distribution centers, where they became acquainted with advanced technologies for cargo storage and handling, as well as the operational specifics of major transport operators. This practical exposure allowed students to see the application of theoretical knowledge in real-world conditions.
As part of the forum, dedicated to the topic “Key Elements of Effective Logistics,” participants discussed current industry development issues, the implementation of innovative solutions, process digitalization, and sustainable logistics development. The forum provided a platform for exchanging experiences and establishing professional contacts with experts and practitioners from various countries.
On October 17, the invited expert Eduard Teodorovich Kaplan delivered a lecture on the topic “5 Trends in Modern Logistics.” His presentation sparked lively interest among students and became an important part of the educational program, inspiring them for further professional growth and the adoption of new technologies.
Participation in the study tour and forum allowed students not only to deepen their knowledge but also to broaden their international outlook, understand the challenges and prospects of global logistics. This experience will be a significant milestone in their professional development and preparation for a successful career in the international logistics field.
