The seminar was opened by the President of TÜBA, Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, who emphasized the importance of studying the evolution of family businesses and the need for collaboration between science, government, and the private sector to ensure sustainable development.

Representatives of Turkey’s major family-owned companies — Yıldız Holding, Sinpaş GYO, Eksim Holding, Kale Group, and Hayat Holding — shared their experiences in implementing sustainability strategies, green standards, ESG practices, innovations, and intergenerational transfer of corporate values.

Aigerim Akmatova presented her report titled “Family Business in Central Asia: Governance, Resilience, and Intergenerational Transformation,” highlighting the characteristics of family business development in the region and their adaptation to modern challenges.
