Acting Prime Minister Artem Novikov got acquainted with the activities of a number of enterprises in the Issyk-Kul region

Acting Prime Minister, First Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov during his working trip to the Issyk-Kul region got acquainted with the activities of a number of enterprises.

In particular, he visited a logistics center in the city of Balykchy, the construction project of which was partially financed by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. The company employs 30 people and has a storage capacity of 2,400 tons with a controlled atmosphere.

The company's management informed about the initiative to create a cluster that would include the entire chain of agricultural products production and processing, including the production of baby food. At the same time, they noted the need to allocate a land plot to expand production.

Artem Novikov also got acquainted with the construction progress of a meat processing plant in the city of Karakol, which is scheduled to be launched in 2021.

Construction work at the facility began in August this year. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund will lease equipment for the enterprise. The plant's production capacity will be 7,200 tons of meat per year, 150 jobs will be created.

The enterprise itself is aimed at creating a meat cluster, including the creation of a breeding farm, a training center, attracting farmers to work, and developing a market for meat products.

And about. The Prime Minister instructed local authorities to establish close contact with entrepreneurs and work out the issue of allocating a land plot.

“Despite the pandemic, investors declare their readiness to launch projects and create new jobs. There are many plots in the region with proper infrastructure that are idle and not used. At the same time, many investors have problems, including with obtaining land plots. The business lacks areas for development. Local authorities need to provide maximum assistance in the implementation of investment projects. Projects in the field of meat, dairy farming and gardening have great potential for the socio-economic development of the region. It is important to ensure their progressive development, ”said Artem Novikov.

Also acting. The Prime Minister visited the Aiko-Seiko sewing enterprise in the Ak-Suu region, which began producing personal protective equipment during the pandemic.

The enterprise is ready for expansion, however, it notes the problem of a lack of qualified personnel and initiates the creation of educational sewing courses with subsequent employment.

State and local authorities were instructed to work out the issues of providing support to the enterprise in terms of obtaining permits for the opening of a training center.

In addition, during the working trip, acting The Head of Government got acquainted with the activities of the export-oriented enterprise for the processing of dairy products "Ak-Zhalga" in the Jeti-Oguz region. The plant, which employs 120 people, processes 50 tons of milk per day.
