Opening Ceremony of the “2+2” Joint Educational Program with China Held at KSTU

On September 25, 2025, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov hosted the official opening ceremony of a joint “2+2” educational program with Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power (ZJWEU), China.

The program offers students two years of study at KSTU, followed by two years at the Chinese university. Upon completion, graduates will receive diplomas from both institutions, opening up broad opportunities for academic mobility and successful international careers.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of ZJWEU, university faculty, and students. Welcoming speeches were delivered by the Rector of KSTU, Mr. M.K. Chynybaev, Vice-Rector of ZJWEU, Mr. Xu Xudong, and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Mr. Wang Xinliang. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of international academic cooperation and the value of cultural exchange between Kyrgyzstan and China.

During the event, the structure of the program, learning conditions, and student opportunities were presented. Special attention was given to the development of language skills and intercultural competence, which are essential for successful integration into the international academic and professional environment.

The “2+2” program aims to train highly qualified specialists prepared to work in the global arena and to strengthen the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China.
