On September 25, 2025, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov hosted a solemn opening ceremony for a joint undergraduate educational program in the “2+2” format for students of the Kyrgyz Republic.
A special focus within this partnership is the program in the field of "International Trade Logistics," implemented by the International Higher School of Logistics at KSTU named after I. Razzakov in cooperation with Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power (ZJWEU, China). Based on the principles of equality, voluntariness, and mutual consent, the parties agreed to implement this program, which involves students studying in Kyrgyzstan for the first two years and continuing their studies in China during the third and fourth years in the field of “International Economics and Trade (Cross-border E-commerce).”
The International Higher School of Logistics is responsible for organizing the educational process, managing academic performance, and all matters related to the first two years of study. The Faculty of Economics and Management at Zhejiang University is responsible for academic planning, performance monitoring, final certification, and graduation of students during the last two years.
The program aims to train highly qualified specialists ready to work in a globalized economy and to strengthen strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China in the fields of education, logistics, and e-commerce.
The program provides for two years of study at KSTU and two subsequent years at the university in China. Upon completion, students receive diplomas from both universities, opening broad opportunities for academic mobility and successful international careers.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of ZJWEU, faculty members, and students. Opening remarks were made by the Rector of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, M.K. Chynybaev, Vice-Rector of Zhejiang University, Xu Xudong, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Wang Xinliang, and Director of the International Higher School of Logistics, A.S. Umetaliev. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of international academic cooperation and cultural exchange between Kyrgyzstan and China.
During the event, the program’s structure, study conditions, and student prospects were presented in detail. Special attention was given to the development of language training and intercultural competence, which are essential for successful integration into the international educational and professional environment.
