From 4 to 10 October 2026, a delegation of Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov visited Hungary to participate in the CECOL 2026 International Conference, held at the University of Miskolc. The conference brought together scientists, academics, researchers, and representatives of the logistics industry from different countries.
Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov was represented by a delegation headed by Rector Mirlan Koychubekovich Chynybaev. The delegation included Professor Akylbek Saparbekovich Umetaliev, Director of the International Higher School of Logistics, as well as KSTU faculty members, doctoral students, and master's students.
The conference was jointly opened by Mirlan Chynybaev, Rector of KSTU, and Zita Horvath, Rector of the University of Miskolc. In his welcome address, the KSTU Rector emphasized the important role of international university cooperation in the context of the rapid development of logistics, digital technologies, and global supply chains.
One of the key highlights of the conference was the participation of representatives of the International Higher School of Logistics in the scientific program. During the plenary session, Professor Akylbek Umetaliev presented the paper “Development of Cross-Border Virtual Logistics Centers (VLC) for Enhancing Transit Capacity and Promoting Agricultural Products of the Kyrgyz Republic in Global Supply Chains,” focusing on the development of cross-border virtual logistics centers, increasing the transit potential of the Kyrgyz Republic, and promoting the country's agricultural products in global supply chains.
During the thematic sessions of the conference, KSTU faculty members, doctoral students, and master's students presented the results of their research.
Kristina Rifert presented the paper “Institutional Transformation of Logistics Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: A Multi-Level Framework,” focusing on the transformation of logistics education in the context of the development of artificial intelligence.
Tynchtyk Mukanov, together with Almaz Kaiyrbekov, presented the research “Sustainable Water Flow Control in Irrigation Systems: A Logistics-Oriented Approach.”
Nurzada Toybaeva, together with Ulan Emilbekov, presented the paper “Investment Attractiveness of Educational Programs in the Field of Logistics: ROI Analysis.”
A. Akmatova presented the research “Hazardous Materials Logistics and Environmental Risk Management in Mining: The Case of Sodium Cyanide at the Kumtor Mine,” focusing on hazardous materials logistics and environmental risk management in the mining industry.
Bakhtiyar Amankulov presented two scientific papers. Together with Gulzhan Asanakunova, he presented “Economic Efficiency of Implementing Practice-Oriented Modules in Logistics Education,” focusing on the economic efficiency of introducing practice-oriented modules into logistics education. His second paper, “Supply Chain Consolidation of Electrical Materials in Residential Construction Projects: A Case Study from Kyrgyzstan,” focused on the consolidation of supply chains for electrical materials in residential construction projects.
Thus, representatives of the Kyrgyz side presented seven scientific papers as part of the CECOL 2026 scientific program, covering issues related to logistics education, artificial intelligence, supply chain management, sustainable development, and environmental safety.
Of particular importance for the International Higher School of Logistics is that the presented scientific articles are currently in press in scientific journals indexed in the international Scopus database. This represents an important result of the scientific work of KSTU faculty members and young researchers and contributes to the further expansion of international scientific cooperation.
Participation in CECOL 2026 continued the long-standing partnership between KSTU and the University of Miskolc. Today, cooperation between the two universities includes a double-degree master's program in logistics, academic mobility, joint research, and PhD training.
During the visit, representatives of the International Higher School of Logistics also held working meetings with professors of the Logistics Institute of the University of Miskolc, Peter Tamás and Peter Veres. The discussions focused on the further development of the double-degree program, joint research, and the training of scientific personnel. Professors from the University of Miskolc regularly deliver online lectures to KSTU doctoral students and participate in the academic supervision of their research.
Since 2021, faculty members and researchers of KSTU and the University of Miskolc have published more than 20 joint scientific papers in international academic journals.
The participation of the International Higher School of Logistics in CECOL 2026 marked an important milestone in the development of international scientific and educational cooperation and confirmed the active role of the International Higher School of Logistics in specialist training, logistics research, and integration into the international academic community.
